Egypt, 1954. Gamel Abdel Nasser became preident of Egypt after the Egyptian Revolution. During his time in office he promoted "Arab Socialism" and formed ties with the Communist bloc and USSR. The next president, Anwar Sadat dismantled "Aram Socialism" and turned form the USSR to Western Europe and the US to form ties.
