Module Five: Looking Back

Teacher's Edition

Activity Three: Graphic Organizer - Expand

Copy the picture below onto a sheet of paper or use the printable version from this website. Then fill in the spaces to complete a web of African history. In the four bubbles attached to the "African History" bubble, write a significant event in the history of Africa. Then in the bubbles attached to the events you have written, explain a consequence of that event. After you have completed this exercise, place it in your Exploring Africa Workbook.

Teacher Discussion

There are many possible answers to this Graphic Organizer. Students can use any information gathered throughout the module, particularly using the maps in Module Four to find significant events and a consequence of each of those events. This is meant to be a review of the history, diversity, and global connections of Africa. To look at one of many possible examples, click here.
