Unit One: Why Study Africa?
Module Five: Looking Back
Teacher's Edition
Activity Two: Writing Exercise Using the Internet - Expand
In this activity, the teacher will ask you a series of questions. You should write answers to the questions on a sheet of paper and file the paper in your Exploring Africa Workbook.
Teacher Discussion
Here are the questions for this activity:
- Imagine that your family is moving to Africa, where would you like to live?
- What would life be like if you lived there?
- What would life be like for a student from Africa if he/she came and stayed with your family in the U.S.?
This activity is meant to continue to help the students think about cross-cultural differences between themselves and students in Africa. It will allow the students to review some of the information that they have learned in the module and apply it to a hypothetical situation. It will also help the students practice skills in writing.
