Unit One: Why Study Africa?

Module Five: Looking Back

Teacher's Edition

Activity Two: Writing Exercise Using the Internet - Expand

In this activity, the teacher will ask you a series of questions. You should write answers to the questions on a sheet of paper and file the paper in your Exploring Africa Workbook.

Teacher Discussion

Here are the questions for this activity:

  1. Imagine that your family is moving to Africa, where would you like to live?
  2. What would life be like if you lived there?
  3. What would life be like for a student from Africa if he/she came and stayed with your family in the U.S.?

This activity is meant to continue to help the students think about cross-cultural differences between themselves and students in Africa. It will allow the students to review some of the information that they have learned in the module and apply it to a hypothetical situation. It will also help the students practice skills in writing.
